How to Manage Existing WordPress Accounts

Managing WordPress accounts gives users the ability to change a handful of settings in their personal profile.  These setting allow users the ability to customize their workspace experience or update pertinent profile details like the username. The only exception to this rule is administrators.  Not only can they change their account profiles, but they are the only account role that can manage all users profiles and accounts on a system.

Accessing WordPress Accounts

From the WordPress dashboard users can access their profile from 2 locations:

  1. If you are the admin on the left sidebar, there is a person icon with the text Users, If you hover over this you will see the option “Your Profile” appear.
  2. In the upper right-hand corner, if you hover over the username or image icon, you will see a popup where you can click on edit profile.

In both cases, the user goes to their profile page where they can customize their wordpress dashboard and update one or all of their profile information settings.
